Predators To Join USPHL NCDC Tier II

The Provo Predators are pleased to announce that they will join the USPHL National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) for the 2023-24 season. The NCDC is a Tier II Tuition-Free Junior League that currently has 14 teams located across the eastern United States.

The NCDC is welcoming 6 new members for the 2023-24 season, expanding to a national footprint by welcoming the Provo Predators, Utah Outliers, Ogden Mustangs, Pueblo Bulls, Northern Colorado Eagles, and Idaho Falls Spud Kings to form the NCDC West division.

These 6 current mountain division teams will compete at the USPHL Premier level for the 2022-23 season and use the year to prepare for the jump to the NCDC and use the next 12 months to focus on strategizing their recruiting efforts to attract the nation's next group of NCDC Division 1 players and potential NHL draft picks.

With the addition of the NCDC Western division comes many new and exciting opportunities, not just for the 6 new organizations but also for the current 14 NCDC teams in the Eastern division. This is an exciting time for junior hockey, the USPHL, and the NCDC!

Predators GM/Head Coach Nick Dreyer expressed his excitement over the NCDC news and is looking forward to being a part of the expansion into the west. "This is a great day for junior hockey and for hockey in the western United States. There are so many good hockey players in this area who will now get a chance to experience competing at the Tier II level. Our organization is fortunate to be a part of the USPHL and we are excited about the direction the league is taking."
